While living in Venice, Sean Antonioli took some great photos. Here are two shots taken from the Rialto Bridge on a clear but cold winter day. 
While they're not gondolas, they are beautiful, and very Venetian. Over the years, Venice's fleet of water taxis has been slowly transforming itself; from wood to fiberglass. I understand the many benefits of having a fiberglass boat, but there's something about an all-varnished mahogany beauty like this one.
