On the morning of October 6th last year, Vittorio Orio climbed out onto the end of the Phoenix with determination, duct tape, and a small American flag.It was windy and the gondola was bouncing around.
I watched while Vittorio secured that flag and managed to avoid falling into the Hudson.
It was a great moment captured by Nereo Zane and his Nikon camera.
