Because there are so many gondolas jammed into Bacino Orseolo, it's easy to spot the different details that make each boat unique. Earlier this week we saw a highly polished ferro, today we see the oposite. My guess is that this ferro has been around for a long time, and probably has some sentimental value.
If it could talk, I'm sure this ferro would tell a long and interesting story.
