Mile High Launch Day

If you were listening carefully around sunset, I mean really listening, you might just have heard a splash in Denver.
That splashing sound was the annual launching of the punts at Venice on the Creek.

Punts are, in some ways, English gondolas.
And while they are smaller, and poled instead of rowed, it's easy to see similarities.

I spoke with someone there earlier today who told me that while the rain had threatened to dampen things, the weather was clearing and they expected to have a great evening.
