Rowing to Altino

Maybe I should classify this as a "Meanwhile, in the Veneto..." post.

 

We're still glowing from the 2016 US Gondola Nationals,
(and I'm still digging myself out of the pile of photos and video).

Meanwhile, they're over there, routinely living the voga-alla-Veneta dream.

Every time I see photos of these people,

in their orange and blue jerseys and white pants,

I get all nostalgic.  I was never all that loyal to my high school

or my university, but membership in the GSVVM rowing club is different.

The Gruppo Sportivo Voga Veneta in Mestre is my true alma mater.
